Well then according to recent statistics Apple could buy huge companies like RIM ($13.59 billion), Nokia (($6.85 billion), Twitter ($8 billion), Adobe ($16 billion), Netflix ($4.6 billion) and TMobile ($39 billion) and in the end still manage to have extra hardcore cash to pay the dividends. The company shocked each and every investor recently with the release of the iPhone 5 which increased its revenue over $142 billion. Apple is a company which has by far proved itself to be invisible and challenging to all its competitors.

Apples arch rival Google has tried time after time to defeat Apple and has indeed given Apple really tough competition with Android phones however the recent Samsung and Apple blow and Apples quarter revenue this year have put Google to shame and even made them wonder if Apples really at the top of their game. Apples quarter revenue was $3 billion more than that of Google and had a profit of $13 billion, while, Google only had $10.2 billion as profit. Also, there are rumors all over the place saying that Apple might become the first ever trillion dollar company. Sounds big right?

Apple has so far single handedly defeated Microsoft, Google, Samsung and other competitors easily and has almost always emerged victorious in the end. Some analysts viewed Apples success similar to that of Blackberry of how they first launched their smart phones. Blackberry like Apple was a company who had a new and innovative idea and who laid the foundations of a smartphone in the beginning, however, it can be said that blackberry’s success has to some extent been short-lived and it has lost the repute it once had. Analysts view Apple as another company like the blackberry however some tend to disagree and point out the fact that Apple has almost emerged victorious in everything they have created from smartphones to tabs to personal laptops as of yet and moving towards a trillion dollar company must also be considered since it’s no funny business.

Be it any country all over the world Apple has proved itself with time to be a global and international company which has had immense success and luck over the past. Big countries like China have accounted for 20% of Apples sales and Apple’s products are sold in over 100 countries all around the world. Apple also had the idea of an iCar which was what Steve Job originally wanted to create, however, circumstances or luck didn’t make that possible but due to the immense success the company has had who knows what the future holds and Apple might just start working on a diverse range of products which would not only prove to be successful but innovative and be the break through invention of the 21st century. Fixing Error 500

Error 500 is a generic error that your host generates.

There are many reasons why it can occur, but the 3 most common ones are:

1) File / Folder Permissions – Most modern hosts (that offer cPanel) will block PHP files that are set to 777 or that are in a folder that is set to 777, or even if one of the parent folders is 777.

Instead of running the file, your host will show the error 500. The reason for it is server security- when a file is set to 777, anyone can change it and plant malicious code in there.

You may ask yourself “Why do the Prestashop installation instructions say to use 777″? Well, it seems that 777 in French translates to 755 in English

We did ask them to modify the instructions but for whatever reason, our request was overlooked. Some very old server configuration or ones that are not properly configured won’t work properly with 755 and require 777, but it seems that they are very few (since it’s a major security risk).

No files or folders should be set to 777, 755 should be the maximum permissions setting.

2) Server timeout – Every server has a timeout setting, which is the time that a script is allowed to run.

These limits vary from host to host; some set it as low as 30 seconds and don’t allow you to change it, and others set it to 5-10 minutes and let you change it.

If you run a script that requires a long time to finish (thumbnail regeneration, import/export, or backup) and it reaches the timeout setting, an error 500 page will be displayed.

You should contact your host and inquire about increasing the timeout limit.

3) Incorrect syntax in .htaccess file – The syntax in the .htaccess file is very strict, if you add an incorrect command, or even an incorrect character, your server will return error 500.

Try removing the .htaccess file, to make sure it is that cause, and then recreate it from Prestashop (Keep a backup of the original .htaccess in case your host had some required variables in there).

If you are still getting an error 500 and you are sure it’s not caused by the problems above, you will have to look in your host’s error log to get the details of the error. Most hosts will have an “Error log” link in the cPanel- look it up there and see what the cause of it is.
